SEAN McDONALD
Dancer. Choreographer. Actor. Model
Born in Fort Myers, Florida; Sean received his B.F.A in Modern dance at the University of South Florida. He is a Talent Grant recipient and also a former Pulse Dance Convention scholarship recipient. In 2012, Sean trained in Paris under Colleen Thomas, Daniel Madoff, and Prue Lang, where he performed his own work as well as Colleen Thomas' work at Micadanses. Sean also had Totem Ancestor choreographed by Merce Cunningham set on him, restaged by Daniel Madoff. In 2013, Sean had the privilege to perform his B.F.A Solo in the USF Faculty concert. At USF, Sean has studied under Michael Foley, Andee Scott, Andrew Carroll, Jeanne Travers, and Bliss Kohlmyer.

Sean’s performance highlights include the amazing works of Doug Varone (The Rite of Spring), Rosie Herrera (Pity Party), Andy and Dionne Noble (Spitting Ether), Bradley Michaud (After the Fracture), Colleen Thomas (Du Cour), Juan Rodriguez (You, New World), Kyle and Gina Sorensen (Whispering Directions), and Doug Gillespie (Amphoteric).
In 2015, Sean performed during the wedding reception for actor Dave Bautista (as seen in Guardians of the Galaxy and 007 Spectre) and his wife Sarah Jade. In 2016, Sean was invited to the Coco Dance Festival in Trinidad where he assisted Jeanne Travers with master classes and performed Travers’ work A Bridge Beyond in the festival’s evening gala. In 2017, Sean had the privilege to perform with Tell-A-Vision (as seen on America’s Got Talent) in Vancouver Canada, perform/model for Lululemon Athletica'sIntroduction to Nulux launch event, along with being a faculty member for the Florida Dance Association’s Young Dancer’s Workshop. Sean has performed professionally with Adin & Ferguson Dance Theatre, Shoes At The Door Dance, Moving Current Dance Collective, Tampa Modern Dance Company, Rogue Dance, and is currently a dancer-performer with Event Show Productions, Tell-A-Vision, and a dancer-resident choreographer for Collective Soles Dance Company.
